Enjoy the scenic coastline in the Cook Islands in a scooter

You can enquire about Rarotonga Scooter Hire at the hotel reception. Clinging to the back of the 150cc Japanese scooter, you will realize that two wheeled transportation is the ideal mode of travel for locals and tourists as a novel approach to spend your holiday.

Driver’s licence

For New Zealanders and Australians no tests are required to get a motorcycle licenses. You have to pay just $15 for your laminated Cook Island's driver's license that has validity for a year.

Shopping in the street markets

In the Punanga Nui markets you can buy many things, such as brightly coloured sarongs, t-shirts, tivaivai (quilts) and Cook Islands Black Pearls.

When you take ride in your scooter from Cook Islands Scooter Hire in the great ring road around Rarotonga, you can enjoy the scenery all along the roads. Most of the island's coastline is free of buildings of any kind, thereby presenting an unobstructed view of the turquoise waters from the road.

The perfect shoreline and swaying coconut trees makes is near impossible to keep your eyes on the traffic. Each bay is completely different and nothing less than spectacular.

Muri, sheltered from the sea by the lagoon and three small islands just off shore. Dozens of sails fluttered in the distance in front of the blue sky and waters. Visitors are welcome to try their hand at windsurfing for $25 an hour.

On the southernmost coastline a small track runs to the foot of the mountains and a spot called Wigmore's waterfall. The small but picturesque waterfall plunges into a swimming hole frequented by tourists and locals.

The waterfall marks the beginning of an arduous walk up and over the island mountain ranges. The more active visitor may be keen to give this a go on their own - be careful category.. The trek is poorly marked and has few clearings to get a view of the island, causing numerous tourists to wander off course and find themselves lost overnight in the forest.
